GEOGRAPHY

Germany constitutes one of the principal industrial economies of the world. It is placed in Central Europe and borders north with Denmark, on the South with Switzerland and Austria, to the East with Poland and Czech Republic and on the West with France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Holland. There are three geographical areas: to the north is located the flatness of the high Rhine, the plain and the coasts. To the center dominates the mountainous areas low in the massifs of Schisteel give way to the flatness of the high Rhine. The highes point is the Brocken, 1,242 meters. In the South, the Alps are mountainous with rocky steep walls and here rises the Zugspitze, the highest part of Germany is 2,962 meters. For its part, the black forest is a relatively inhabited region that possesses a climate privileged as regards to its environment, due to its extraordinary vegetation and big forests.

CLIMATE

It has long winters, without rains, and brief summers, with rainy warm days. Temperatures: -22ºC (minimum) 37ºC (maximum).

BERLIN

Berlin does not look like any other city in Germany, nor any other city in the world. Split in two for many years, you can still see the differences between each area of the city. In any case its one of the biggest cities in Europe, an important cultural center that offers the best collections of art mixed with the most animated street life in the daytime and at night. On the other hand, in Berlin it is inevitable to come across the most recent historic impact: the Door of Brandenburg, the Reigstadt or Olypic Stadium.
