Hong-Kong is an island of 32km², placed in Asia to the south of the Tropical Cancer, 135km to the Southeast of the Canton. Hong-Kong is separated from the continent by a natural port. The island was surrendered to the British empire in 1842 according to the agreement of Nanking, in 1860 the Peninsula of Kowllon was also surrendered according to the Convention of Peking. The climate of Hong Kong is subtropical with many seasonal changes. The average temperature in June can change from 26°C to 31°C (80°F to 88°F). The moisture is about 80 percent. Cotton clothing and the short sleeve shirts of are the most appropiate for this season, but it is convenient to bring a light sweater for places where there is air conditioning.
