The average temperature in Wellington ranges between 20.1ºC in January (the warmest month) and 5.6ºC in July (the coldest month), whereas the annual rainfall has and average of 1.230mm. In Auckland, the temperature between January and July range between 23.4ºC and 7.8ºC, respectively average, with an annual precipitation of 1.851 millimeters.
Is placed in an isthmus that joins the northwest of the island with the north sector of the Auckland peninsula. It´s flanked by the Manukau bay area (an arm of the Tasmanian sea ) and the bay area of Waitemata (an arm of the Pacific Ocean). The city, with several extinguished volcanoes in its surroundings, is the sea port and naval base, and a fishing , industrial and commercial center. In its metropolitan area they produce iron and steel, machinery, tailoring, motorcars, fertilizers and prepared food. Between the interesting places of Auckland emphasizes an art gallery, with an excelent collection of European painting and of New Zealand, the Institute and Museum of Auckland, which exhibits a collections of natural history and ethnology, the Museum of the Melanesian Mission, the Museum of Transport and Technology, and the Parnell Rose Garden. The University of Auckland (1882) and the Technical Institute of Auckland (1964) also are radicated here. The bridge bay of Auckland is the longest of those that join the center of the city with its suburban areas, in rapid growth. The principal international airport of New Zealand is in Auckland.
